Harold Joseph Steigler, 75, of Spartanburg, husband of Gloria Proctor Steigler, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills, Landrum. Born in Harrisburg, PA, he was a son of the late Herman Joseph and Jane Elizabeth Pearson Steigler. He retired as an engineer and was a US Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Taylors Lodge #345 A.F.M. and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is his wife; a daughter, Maria Scott and her husband, Robin, and grandchildren, J. C. Scott and his wife, Alison, Robert Scott and his wife, Abby, and Rebecca Scott, all of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by his sister, Minnie Elizabeth Steigler and his brother, Herman Fredrick Steigler.
