Harriet Elizabeth Fallaw Collins, 84, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025.

Born in Ward, South Carolina, Harriet was the daughter of the late Thomas and Kate Winn Fallaw. She was known for her radiant smile and unwavering kindness. Never one to meet a stranger, Harriet was loved by all who knew her. She was a mom and grandma to everyone and adored her family. An avid gardener, Harriet found solace in nature and loved to work in her yard. In her younger years, she was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed crafting and creating. Her lively spirit was complemented by her love for music. Harriet sang in the church choir at Beulah Baptist Church and later at Emerald Baptist Church. She also led the children's choir at Beulah Baptist Church and made significant contributions to the children's ministry there.

Harriet is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, John Harold Collins, Jr.; daughters, Susan Denise Collins Dugger (William) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Dana B. Henderson (Gregory) of Walhalla, SC; grandchildren, Angela Jester (Michael) of Boston, MA, Joshua Kyle Henderson (Megan) of Whitehouse, TX, Denny Ray Balchin, Jr. (Krista) of Seneca, SC, Thomas Brandon Balchin of Wilmington NC, Zachariah Lynn Henderson (Lauren) of Wilmington, NC, Kenneth Ray Collins of Greenwood, and Heather Leann Silvia of Jacksonville, FL; and 15 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Harriet was preceded in death by a brother, Truman Fallaw and a granddaughter, Dawn Elizabeth Balchin.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Emerald Baptist Church with the Reverend Craig McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
