Frances Harriet Ivester, a life long resident of Ninety Six, died Monday, December 27, 2010 at Self Regional Healthcare. Born July 7, 1945 in Greenwood and raised in Ninety Six, she was the daughter of the late John Harold Ivester and Frances Eddy Ivester Gaddis. Harriet received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Newberry College. She continued her education at Clemson University, from which she received her Master�s degree in Psychology. Harriet worked as a counselor at Beckman Mental Health Center for many years until she entered retirement. Harriet was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ninety Six. She loved being with her family and her many friends. Her smile, with a special twinkle in her eyes, could light up a room. She loved to dance and will be remembered as a wonderful shagger. She is survived by her brother, John Ivester of Ninety Six; her step sister, Terri Gaddis of Saluda; a special friend, John Crowley of Saluda, and many aunts, uncles and cousins to whom she brought joy every day of her life and who will miss her dearly.
