Helen Childers Bentley, 56, of 15 Lois Lane, widow of Michael T. Bentley, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at her home. Born in Gastonia, NC, she was a daughter of the late Carl E. Childers, Sr. and Sylvia Allen Childers. She was previously employed with New Power Design in Laurens and was a member of Shade Tree Revival Baptist Church. Helen loved working with crafts in her �woman cave�. She was preceded in death by a sister, Donnie Childers. Surviving are a son, Timothy Dwayne Childers; a stepdaughter, Ashley Bentley; two sisters, Teresa Louise Childers and Bridgett Dalton; two brothers, Jerry Wayne Grey and Carl E. Childers, Jr.; and other family members: Christy and David Welch of Gastonia, NC, Amber Brown, Graham Baker, both of Springfield, MO; Jessica Brown, Madison Grey, McKinley McDaniel, Austin Grey, Corey Grey, Tyler Akains and Destinee Grey, all of Waterloo.
