Helen Young Giles, 89, widow of J. V. Giles, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Magnolia Manor.

Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late George Green Young and Callie Mae Richards Young. Mrs. Giles retired from Greenwood Mills- Durst Plant where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club and also SC School District of Saluda. She was a lifelong member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon Lynn Giles and a brother George Young.

Surviving are two sons, John Giles (Sandra) and James Giles; two brothers, Marshall Ray Young and Douglas Young, all of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum with the Rev. Johnny Waller officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends before the service at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum from 1 to 2 pm.

The family is at the home of her son, John Giles, 305 Roberts Drive, Greenwood.
