Henry Davis, 73, of Greenwood, husband of Frances Mullins Davis, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Aiken County, he was the son of the late Oscar and Ethel Gilstrap Davis. He was employed with Ascend and Fluor-Daniel Construction Company and a member of Ninety Six First Baptist Church. He was an avid guitar player, who loved playing country music with his good friends, Robert Hitt and Roy Brown. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and doing metal work. Mr. Davis was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He always showed concern for others and their interest before his own.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Deborah Harvley (Wayne) of Donalds, Henry Davis, Jr. and Robert Scott Davis, both of Greenwood; sisters, Dot Goodwin (Charlie) and Jeanette Slade (Donald), both of Aiken; grandchildren, Travis Harvley, Joshua Harvley (Leigh Ann), Gloria Gordon (Chris), and Bret Harvley; and great grandchildren, Arianna Harvley and Brent Cleveland.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Travis Harvley, Joshua Harvley, Trevor Temples, Brandon Temples, Jeff Temples, and Anthony Braswell, Jr.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
