Herbert C. Johnson, Jr., 66, and Carolyn S. Davis Johnson, 67, of 119 Liberty Street, Ninety Six, died at their home.

Herbert was the son of the late Herbert C. Johnson, Sr. and Helen Watson Johnson. He was retired from Greenwood Mills and a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church.

Carolyn was a daughter of the Henry Horace and Irene Estridge Davis. She was also retired from Greenwood Mills and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are their children, Sherry Newton and Christy Bowen (Russ) and grandchildren, Hannah Prince, Noah Newton, Leah Newton, Eli Bailey, and Layla Bowen, all of Greenwood.

Carolyn is also survived by her sister, Mary Yorton of Apalachicola, FL. and her brothers, Donny Davis (Emmagene) of Savannah, GA, Howard Davis (Carol) of Louisville, KY, Bo Hutchins of Panama City, FL, and Andy Hutchins of Apalachicola, FL.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Herman Davis and Gene Davis.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 1 at 1:00 pm at Lowell St. United Methodist Church, where Herbert was a member. The Rev. Cheryl Remchuk and Dr. Joseph Johnson will be officiating. There is no graveside service as Herbert and Carolyn will be buried in Florida. Friends and family are invited to this special service to remember our cousin and friend.
