Robert Herman Paysinger, 77, formerly of 703 Chinquapin Road, widower of Mildred Lowe Paysinger, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Saluda, he was a son of the late Robert and Annie Cockrell Paysinger. He was employed by Greenwood Mills for over 50 years, where he retired from the Service Department Compound. Herman was a member of the Quarter Century Club and was a member of Grace Community Church. He loved his church, hunting, and fishing. Surviving are a son, Thomas Dale Paysinger of Greenwood; three sisters, Frances Kidd of Greenwood, Lois Burton of Enoree, SC, and Evelyn Paugh of Leesburg, FL; five grandchildren, Gerald, Breanna, Diamond, Jade, and Kira Paysinger; and one great grandchild, Cayden Paysinger. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Paysinger; a sister, Ruby Brown; and three brothers, Larry, William, and M. B. Robinson. Pallbearers will be the men of the church. Honorary escort will be the employees and staff of Emerald Gardens and Annalisa Sherrill. In lieu of flowers the family asks that they be omitted and memorials be made to Grace Community Church, 1611 Woodlawn Road, Greenwood, 29649. The family members are at their respective homes.
