Hosey Laverne Adams, 75, of 100 Kitson Street, Ninety Six, husband of Carolyn Stapleton Adams, died Thursday, May 3, 2018 at his home.
Born in Saluda, he was a son of the late Walter and Ione Kitchens Adams. Hosey was a U S Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from Greenwood Mills where he was a Supervisor and a member of the Quarter Century Club. Hosey was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, W. B. Adams.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are three children, Darrell Adams (Cheryl) of Greenwood, Robert Adams (Brandy) of Ninety Six and Pattie Adams, of the home; five sisters, Fannie Mae Turner, Ophelia "Sara" Dunn, Alice Davis (Wayne), all of Saluda, Melma Hawkins (Wayne) of Ninety Six and Linda Busby (William) of Newberry; four brothers, Cecil Adams (Patti), Clyde Adams (Pat), Thomas Adams (Faye), all of Saluda and John Adams (Dax) of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Elijah Adams of Ninety Six, Khia Wells and Messiah Wells, both of the home; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday at Good Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Beauford officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul Smith, Stacey Burnett, Shannon Burnett, Dee Burnett, Darron Dunn and Brian Alexander.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 to 8 pm.
