Hugh W. Teasley, 88, of 218 Jackson Avenue, husband of Ruth Evans Teasley, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at his home. Born in Hart County, GA, he was a son of the late Veal A. and Ina Greenway Teasley. He was a graduate of Hart County High School and attended the Greenwood College of Commerce. He was retired from Monsanto and was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Greenwood Republican Party, an honorary member of the Sheriff�s Association, a member of USBC and many other bowling leagues. He was an avid golfer and gardener. Mr. Teasley was a member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and the Dust Busters Sunday School Class. Surviving is his wife of the home; three daughters, Meredith T. Upton (Gary), Cynthia T. Smith and Denise Teasley, all of Greenwood; a sister, Betty Ann Strickland (Robert) and two brothers, Allen Teasley (Haley) and Dean Teasley (Faire), all of Hartwell, GA; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
