Mary "Ibbie " Nicholson Martin, 86, of 119 Wendover Road, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Cheraw, she was the daughter of the late Annie Ingram Lowery. Ibbie worked for many real estate companies, including The Dantzler Agency, Town & Country Real Estate and The Lawrence Company, where she was Ben Lawrences assistant. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Circle. She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, John W. Martin, Jr. and Kay McKellar Martin. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Greenwood (Howard) of South Padre Island, TX and Tricia M. Holmes (Christopher) of Charleston; an aunt, Ruth Bynum; five grandchildren, Gray Rains (Jennah) of Bluffton, SC, William Greenwood of South Padre Island, TX, Walter Greenwood of Las Vegas, NV, John "Trey " Martin, III, of Key West, FL and Meredith R. Martin of Greenville, SC; and a step grandchild, Mathew Greenwood of Fulshear, TX. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Rock Presbyterian Church, 122 Rock Church Road NW, Greenwood, SC 29649 or to the Martin-Sims Golf Scholarship, c/o The Lander Foundation, 320 Stanley Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29649.
