Arelia Irene Johnson Davis, 81, of 417 Morgan Avenue, wife of J. R. Davis, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Hospice House. Born in Statesboro, GA, she was a daughter of the late Douglas and Arelia Ellis Johnson. She retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant, after 44 years of service, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was a member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Bryant and her husband, James, of Ninety Six and Janice Davenport and her husband, Wayne, of Greenwood; a son, Larry Davis and his wife, Debra, of Greenwood; a daughter-in-law, Terri Davis of Greenwood; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Davis.
