John "Jack" Frank Gregory, Jr., 87, of 4126 Highway 72/ 221 East, husband of Betty Bowie Gregory, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Mildred Boozer and John Frank Gregory, Sr. He was retired from Monsanto, a volunteer for hospice, and was also a member of Coronaca Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus.

Surviving in addition to his beloved wife of sixty-eight years are his children, Perry Kirkland Gregory (Terri) and Jackie Gregory Shirley (Terry), both of Greenwood; two sisters, Norma Clark of Hodges and Shirley Matthews of Greenwood; a brother, Derrell Gregory of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Hope Campbell, Matthew Shirley, Jade Gregory, and Hayden Thompson; and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, John F. "Johnny" Gregory, III.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Coronaca Baptist Church with the Rev. Drew Gunter and Rev. Wade Burton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Banks, Mark Hamm, Dub Brock, Nolan Gregory, Jerry Duncan, David Clark, Ronnie Clark, and Dr. Larry Holmes.

Honorary escort will be members of Clay Grant Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
