Jack Z. Taylor, 87, of 401 Clairmont Drive, husband of Helen Shealy Taylor, died Monday, December 27, 2010. Born in Manning, he was a son of the late Charles M. Taylor, Sr. and Mamie Joye Taylor. He retired as a district manager with The Greenville News and was a US Army veteran, serving during World War II and a US Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife of the home; a daughter, Lisa Taylor Getty of Nashville, TN; three sons, Jack Zack Taylor, Jr. of Lake Murray , Todd Shealy Taylor of Atlanta, GA and Jeffrey M. Taylor of Florence; and grandchildren, Logan Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Erin Taylor, Mark Taylor and Laurel Getty. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by his eight sisters and brothers.
