James Loyd Alexander, 71, of 117 Liberty Street, Ninety Six, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at NHC of Greenwood.
Born in Commerce, GA, he was a son of the late Cecil John Alexander and Lurene Barrett Alexander. He was previously employed with the town of Ninety Six as a truck driver. James enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar. He was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his wife and caregiver, Linda Alexander Zualet; children, Stephanie Lewis (Jeff) and Brian Alexander (April); brother, Floyd Nelson; grandchildren, Christopher Dillon Lee, Charles James Lewis, Elizabeth Crawford, Wyatt Pickens, Tillman Allen, Cruze Kennemore, and Chloe Kennemore; good friend, Edward Hentz; and numerous nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Lynn Alexander.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating.
The family will receive friends before the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Linda Zualet, 204 Saluda Street, Ninety Six, SC 29666.
