James Paul "Biggen" Barbee, 62, of 4318 Highway 246 North, Hodges, husband of Gigi Barbee, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Abbeville Area Medical Center.
Born in Fairbanks, AK, he was a son of the late Raymond "Bud" Alvin Barbee and Willie Ruth Barbee. He was formerly employed with Greenwood County, where he enjoyed operating heavy equipment and attended Thrive Ministries. Mr. Barbee loved his mules, wagon riding with family and friends, and his grandchildren dearly.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Gigi of the home are his daughters, Cathern "Cat" Barbee (Daniel) and Amanda Barbee Trull (Justin), both of Hodges; sister, Nancy Barbee Werts (Ricky); brother, Raymond Barbee, Jr. (Jenny), both of Ninety Six; five grandchildren, Emlea Walters, Wesley Trull, Ava Smith, Maggie McElrath, and Catherine Trull; and his dog, Little Man.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Harley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Rob Flemming officiating.
