James Carroll Beshers, 86, husband of Ann Riley Beshers, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late William Beshers, Sr. and Flossie Jones Beshers. He owned and operated Beshers Tire Shop on Reynolds Avenue for many years and he and Ann were paper carriers for The Index-Journal for 49 years.

Surviving is his wife; two children, James R. Beshers of Ninety Six and Kenneth Beshers of Greenville; three stepchildren, Heath Davis (Dottie) of Greenwood, David Davis of Greenville and Leeann Kunkle (Mike) of Belton; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitch Brooks officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m.
