James Irvin Brown, Sr., 83, widower of Evangeline Simpson Brown, died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Hospice House, Greenwood. Born in Madison County, GA, he was a son of the late Clyde and Mary Brown. He was retired from Greenwood School District 50 and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was of the Holiness faith. Surviving are two sons, James I. Brown, Jr. of Waterloo and Billy Ray Brown; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents and all of his siblings.
