James Edward Giles, 71, of 107 Augusta Circle, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late John Victor Giles and Helen Young Giles. He received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Lander University in 1976. James was a US Navy veteran, where he served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed doing yardwork, working on cars, and spending time with his family. James attended Emerald Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Giles and a brother, John Giles (Sandra).

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Davis.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum with the Rev. Adrian Rogers officiating.
