James Crawford Harris, of 2613 Cambridge Road, widower of Catherine LeCroy Harris, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Monroe Haynie Harris and Alma Palmer Harris. James graduated from Riverside High School. He was the owner of James Harris Auto Sales and Towing for over 40 years. James was a Mason of Lodge 91 and a Shriner. He was a member of North Greenwood Church of God. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Harris. Surviving are a son, J. D. Harris and his companion Ann Sorrow; a daughter, Jackie Harris Calliham, all of Greenwood; a brother, Grover Harris and his Wife, Ann, of Liberty; five grandchildren, Amanda Hall and her husband Tanner, Whitney Holley and her husband Joseph, James �Jamie� Calliham and his companion, Keri Nicholson, all of Greenwood, Katie Harris currently resides in Grenada, West Indies and Darby Harris of Kansas; and two great grandchildren, Annslee Hall and Aiden Hall. Pallbearers will be Jamie Calliham, Danny Waits, Dwayne Simmons, Bobby Fisher, David Johns, Terry LeCroy, Bruce Harris, Jimmy Smith, and James Lyda. Honorary escort will be the members of the Greenwood Motorcycle Club. The family will be at the home of his granddaughter, Amanda, 156 Crescent Road, Kimbrook, Greenwood, SC.
