James Edward Ouzts, 76, formerly of 125 Warbler Road, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at C. M. Tucker Nursing Center, Columbia. Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Ralph and Janie Rambo Ouzts. He retired from Monsanto following 28 years of service and served in the US Army. He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, where he served in various poisitions. Surviving are three sisters, Daisy Cuatt of Greenwood, Miriam Butler of Columbia, MS and Betty O. �Frankie� Sharpe of Gilbert; two brothers, Cecil Ouzts of Plant City, FL and Carl Ouzts of Maitland, FL and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alleene McCormack and two brothers, Julian Ouzts and Monty Ouzts. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of C. M. Tucker Nursing Center for their devoted care.
