Obituary

James E. Peppers, 86, of 214 Park Street, husband of Elizabeth Tate Peppers, died Sunday, March 8, 2009 at his home. Born in Barrow County, GA, he was a son of the late Henry Cleveland Peppers and Estelle Peppers-Peppers. He retired from Greenwood Mills after 29 years and during that time, served as a part time Holiness minister and as an evangelist, serving in a ministry of love to all who requested his services. He was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Marie Straessle and Shirley P. White and a son, Charles Stephen Peppers. Surviving is his wife of the home; a son, Alan Kelley Peppers of Ninety Six; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
