James "Jim" Leigh Redden, 72, of Greenwood, SC, husband of Lydia Redden, went to be with our heavenly father, Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Carl Leigh Redden and Frances Young Hughes. He was a US Navy Veteran, where he served in Vietnam, and was a member of Laurel Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 50 years is his daughter, Tracie Canfield (Bobby); two sons, Leigh Redden (Angie), and Jimbo Redden (Jennifer); sisters, Sandra Mabe (Virgil), Shirley Cagle (Lonnie), and Mot McCart; brothers, Edward Redden (Robin) and James Redden (Rena); eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Laurel Baptist Church with the Rev. James Rogers officiating. Burial, with military rites, will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Redden, Edward Redden, Tyler Redden, Austin Redden, Butch Almond, and Jerry Burton.
Honorary escort will be Matthew Rochelle and Jeff Finley.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory.
