James W Revis “Jim” went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the age of 86 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Born in Marion, NC on January 13, 1940, he was the son of the late William Clyde and Lellar Ann Baker. Jim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and watching NASCAR. Jim loved music and played the guitar. He was also a problem-solver who loved working in the shop. Jim retired as co-owner of Augusta Sand & Gravel in North Augusta. A member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, Jim was a spiritual man, and loved Bible study.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Latrelle, a grandson, John Alic Mills and a granddaughter, Whitney Revis.
Surviving is his wife Deborah Dorn Revis, a sister Shirley Ann Boyette (Milton); sons James Howard Revis (Bobbie) and William Keith Revis (Beverly); stepchildren, Seth Oliver and Michaela Coats; grandchildren, Brandon Revis (Kaitlyn), Connor William Revis (Bee), Chelsea Mills, Amanda Revis, Kaleb Galloway; great grandchildren Violet Revis, Ethan Revis, Shayne Michael Revis, and John Jackson Mills, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His love and humor will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who encountered him.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 6th at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Marty Dorn officiating.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to food pantry at Woodridge Baptist Church 401 Birch St, North Augusta SC 29841, or Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Ave, Greenwood SC 29646.
