James Howard Shidle, 86, formerly of 513 Davis Street, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Franklin, NC, he was a son of the late Victor Arthur Shidle and Lois DeLoache Shidle Cromer. James was a U. S. Marine veteran where he served during the Korea Conflict. He was a contractor and a brick mason. James attended Highway 10 Parrish Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Terresa Honecker (Ervin) and Vickie Marshall (Stanley), both of Centralia, IL; two sons, Neal Allen Shidle of Enoree and Gary Wayne Shidle of Greenwood; a sister, Grace Mitchell of Ninety Six; a brother, Burl Shidle of Saluda; two foster sisters, Pam Cromer of Saluda and Louise Brown of Ninety Six; a foster brother, George Richardson of Ninety Six; six grandchildren, Patrick Jones, Kelly Jones, Stephanie Ariaga, Stacy Bryant, Larry Shidle, Amy Rice and April Shidle; and sixteen great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jared Case, Brandon Rycroft, Danny Mitchell, Travis Mitchell, Samuel Madden and James Henderson.
