James Bruce Terry, Sr. of 425 East Henrietta Avenue, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 after a brief illness. He was of the Baptist faith. Born on November 9, 1927 in Greenwood County, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Terry and Annie Pearl Adams Terry. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. James was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII, a member of VFW Post 20 of Greenwood and a member of Shriners Hejaz Temple. He is survived by his wife, Alice Wells Terry and son, Danny Terry both of the home; son, Bruce Terry Jr. and wife Nell of Abbeville; grandsons, Duane Terry (Becca Bell) of Waterloo, Brian Terry of Charleston and Chris Getsinger of Anderson; granddaughter, Kim Ishman of Anderson; and four great grandchildren. The family is at the home.
