James C. Weeks, 56, of 753 Truett Avenue, Greenwood, died Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late William Edgar Weeks and Janie Lee Roberts Weeks. James was a formerly employed with Herbert Anderson Construction Company and attended Marshall Road Church of God.

Surviving are his children, Jesse Weeks, Will Weeks, Amber Weeks and Renee Barbour; two brothers, Travis Weeks and Chris Weeks, all of Greenwood; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Hill officiating.

The family is at the home of his brother, Travis Weeks, 429 Piedmont Avenue, Greenwood, and will receive friends there until the time of the service.
