James H. "Pow Wow" Williams, Jr., 69, of 2811 Ninety Six Highway, Ninety Six, husband of Dorothy Ann Doolittle Williams, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late James H. Williams, Sr. and Mary Permelia Hasting Williams. James retired from Greenwood Mills- Sloan Plant and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of Faith Temple Holiness Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a son, James Shannon Williams (Jodi) of Ninety Six; two sisters, Carolyn St. Claire of Greenwood and Ann McCarty (Harold) of Honea Path; and two granddaughters, Kenslee and Kamryn Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at Faith Temple Holiness Church with the Rev. Tony Whatley and Rev. C. B. Turner officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian McCarty, Matthew McCarty, Jason Sanders, Jerry Turner Roy Gunter and Danny Freeman.
Honorary escort will be the men of the church.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 pm. The body will be placed in the church at 1 pm on Tuesday.
