Janet Laman Rushton, 72, of 114 Bent Road, widow of John Richard Rushton, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Crockett County, TN, she was a daughter of the late James Pierce and Ivy Latham Laman. She was a graduate of Limestone College where she earned her Bachelors in Business Administration. Jan began her career at Professional Medical Products, formally Parke Davis, in Logistics and Distribution and was formerly employed by the Burton Center, where she worked in Human Resources and was of the Baptist faith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are two sons; Tim Rushton (Laura) and Tony Rushton, both of Greenwood; a daughter-in-law, Tamatha of Albuquerque, NM; a grandson, Bryan Peters of Albequerque; a granddaughter, Erica Shae Rushton of Greenwood; and a great grandchild, Aubrey Lynn Taylor of Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Douglas Hazel, Al McAbee, Mike Stephenson, Johnny McCalla, Billy Graddick, and John Sheriff. Honorary escort will be Carolyn Magneson, Connie Worthy, Ken Stahl, Emma Wightman, Paul Grates, and Butch Bykes.
