Janet Elaine Kirkland Boyd, 56, of 4211 Highway 25 North, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011, at her home. Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Otis Keith Kirkland Gaynelle Williams Kirkland. Janet was a self employed furniture refinisher and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Kirkland. Surviving are her son, Jody (Amanda) Boyd of Hodges; a daughter, Sylvia (Richard) Sandola of AL; a brother, Gerald Kirkland of Lexington; a nephew, Larry Kirkland of Greenwood; four granddaughters, Destiny Maggard, Gracie Boyd, Summer Hamrick and Hope Sandola; and one great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Kayne Randall, Red Randall, Tony Morris, William Haynie and Ryan Gunter. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
