Janice Bray Mooney, 66, of 215 Briggs Avenue, wife of David F. Mooney, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Eddie Wah and Woodie Mae Christopher Bray. Janice earned her associates degree in Business Management and was formerly employed by Greenwood Mills and Greenwood Memorial Gardens. She attended North Side Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of the home; a son, David Scott Mooney of Greenwood; a daughter, Nicole Clark (Wayne) of Greenwood; sisters, Virginia Joan Reid of Redding, CA, Myrtle Sue Crawford of Ninety Six, Marion Shirley Williams of Callison and Rae Marie Lucas of Greenwood; grandchildren, Mathew Mooney, Alex Rodgers, Jeremy Clark, Samantha Clark, Damon Clark, Lacy Brown, Tony Clark, Caitlin Clark, Marissa Parks, Kailey Parks and Rebecca Clark; and honorary grandchildren, Christian Lucas and Debaron Hughes. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Frank Bray. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648.
