Janie Jordan Sartin, 91, of Greenwood, widow of John A. Sartin, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Born on August 17, 1934, in Carnesville, GA, she was a daughter of the late George and Mae K. Jordan and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Janie worked at Greenwood Mills Plant #5 for 29 years and was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle for 49 years.

She is survived by five stepchildren, John Sartin, Jr. (Jessica) of San Antonio, TX, Loy Sartin, Wayne Sartin (Gail) and Debra Lesley (Butch), all of Greenwood, and Beverly Doolittle (Tommy) of Powell, TN; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by four nephews and one niece, all of Anderson, SC: Danny Stewart (Cindy), Dale Jordan (Becky), Darby Riggins (Tracy), Ray Riggins and Kathy Manley (Scott), their children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Bessie Riggins, Mary Alice Stewart and Venie Ruth Lewis; brothers, Dial and Barton Jordan; and a stepson, Harvey Sartin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Randy Ouzts and the Rev. Tony Pettit officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
