Janie Cheek Vanadore, 91, of 188 Old Greenwood Highway, Abbeville, widow of Carl K. "Jack " Vanadore, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Sadie Prince Cheek. Janie retired from Greenwood Mills - Mathews Plant, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Ralph O. Vanadore of Leesville; two daughters, Toby Vanadore Minor of Abbeville and Becky C. Wideman (Fred) of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Kristi Minor and her fiance Brad Kidd of Abbeville, Samantha Linn (Josh) of Greenwood,Teresa Lindley (Chris) of Greenwood, Robert Shirley (Carrie) of Leesville; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph Judson Cheek, Wade Hampton Cheek, Carl Allen Cheek, William Clarence Cheek, Amos Ezra Cheek, Roland Vandiver Cheek; and five sisters, Dora Cheek Walls, Grace Cheek, Lillian Ethel Cheek Jackson, Frances C.
