Obituary
Janis Spears Talbot went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2020 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Bennettsville, SC on December 16, 1948, Janis was a daughter of the late James Fred Spears, Jr. and Mary T. Spears. She graduated form Dillon High School in 1967 and worked as an independent title abstractor as owner of her business for twenty years. Janis loved to read and cruise Lake Greenwood. She always had a funny story to tell. In 1997 she moved to the upstate and considered Greenwood her home. She loved living in Greenwood.
Surviving include her son, Thomas Neil Talbot, Jr., (Melissa) of Greenwood; her twin brother, James "Jim" Fred Spears III (Grace "Woodie" of Little River, SC; a sister, Judy Hart (David) of Travelers Rest; two nieces, Whitney Spears Grizzle of Columbia and Julie Spears Bell of Little River.
A private memorial service will be held at Harley Family Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boon, NC 28607.
