Jeffery Edward "Stick" Downey, 61, of Willowbrook Road, died Friday, September 20, 2024, at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Nina Mobley Downey and the late Paul Silas Downey. He worked with Downey Brothers Siding and was a member of Emerald Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Owen Downey, Paul Downey, and Dennis Downey; and a niece, Nina Bates.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Lisa T. Downey of Greenwood; children, Jennifer Evans of Greenwood and Matthew Downey (Sommer) of Greenwood; his grandsons, Ryan Hill, Christopher Hill, Clinton Hill, Trenton Hill, and August Downey, all of Greenwood and his granddaughters, Caroline and Nova Downey of Greenwood; a sister, Pamela D. Young (Ricky) of Greenwood; a brother, David T. Downey (Viola) of Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Germany; a number of nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Jovi.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Emerald Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Young officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Dustin McGuire, Michael McDowell, and his grandsons Ryan, Christopher, Clinton, and Trenton.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.
