Jerry Robert Briggs, 52, of 106 Greene Avenue, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late James Thornwell and Sarah Dorothy Hasting Briggs. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Piedmont Technical College and was employed by Pfizer. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Stacy Clifford of Goose Creek and Jamie Briggs of Ninety Six; a brother, Barry Briggs of Greenwood; and four grandchildren, Alexis Clifford, Erin Briggs, Destiny Steadman and Haley Emerson.
