Jerry Gordan Corley, 78, of 1012 McKenzie Road, Ninety Six, husband of Frances "Ruby" Runette Corley, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Hospice House.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Gordan F. and Lorena Holmes Corley. He was retired from Greenwood Supply Company and a member of Ninety Six Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was a member of the Charles Brown Sunday School Class and a choir member. Mr. Corley was an avid golfer and loved the South Carolina Gamecocks.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Scarlett Flowe.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Frances Gaines, Renee Howington, Allen Howington (Teresa Simms), Mike Howington (Gail), all of Greenwood, Tammy Turner (Neil) of Greer, and Todd Howington (LeeAnn) of Clinton; two brothers, Tommy Corley of Greenwood and Robert Corley (Betty) of Piedmont; grandchildren, Ethan Flowe of Columbia, Katy Flowe of Atlanta, GA, and thirteen additional grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Ninety Six Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Brian Brock and Rev. Buddy Cockrell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Allen Howington, Todd Howington, Mike Howington, Neil Turner, Mark McDonald, and Richard Butler.
Honorary escort will be members of the Charles Brown Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends before the service from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
