Jerry Lee Moss, 71, of Ninety Six, husband of Janice Gaskin Moss, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
Born in Newberry, he was a son of the late Alva Frank Moss and Sallie Bostic Moss. Jerry's love for golf knew no bounds, as he was a proud member of The Fort Golf Club, where he could often be found enjoying the sport he was so passionate about. As a die-hard South Carolina Gamecock fan, he wore his team's colors proudly and cheered them on enthusiastically during every game. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, creating memories that will forever be treasured.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Brent Rachels, Brad Rachels (Alison), and Jennifer Phillips (Stacey); brothers, Jim Moss (Emmy), Dan Moss (Carolyn), and Larry Moss (Michelle); grandchildren, Brandi Rachels, Jordan Phillips, Lauren Phillips, Hanna Rachels, and Blaise Rachels; great grandchildren, Aubrie Lindley and Edison Moore; and brother-in-law, Byron Gaskin (Betty).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Sallie; mother-in-law, Earlene Gaskin; and great grandson, Shane Lindley.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rec. Johnnie Waller officiating.
