Jerry Pressley, 79, of Greenwood, husband of the late Linda Jones Pressley, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born on September 6, 1946, in Greenwood, SC, he was a son of the late Lyman David Pressley and Violet Dover Pressley. Jerry lived a life full of love, laughter, and hard work. He worked for CK Contractors & Developers as a heavy equipment mechanic until he was 75. Jerry took great pride in his work, always approaching each task with a steadfast dedication. Jerry had a remarkable ability to fix just about anything placed in front of him. His hands were rarely idle, and his willingness to help others reflected the generous heart he carried throughout his life.

Above all else, Jerry treasured his family. He was an amazing, loving, and caring father whose greatest pride was his children. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, showering them with love, attention, and countless special memories. His family was the center of his world, and the time they spent together was what he valued most.
