Jessie Lamar Turner, 81, of 102 Wiley Court, widower of Betty Gillion Turner, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late Albert Ernest and Geneva Bledsoe Turner. He was retired from Greenwood Mills, Chalmers Plant, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He served in the SC National Guard and was a member of Hodges Church of God. Surviving are four sons, Jimmy A. Turner and Lamar Turner, both of Greenwood, Dennis Turner of Spartanburg and Michael Turner of Ware Shoals; a daughter, Linda Williams of Ware Shoals; a sister, Ora Adams of McDonough, GA; 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
