Born in Gary, IN, and spent his childhood in Battle Creek, MI, he was a son of the late James Darrel Eastwood, Sr. and Dora Josephine Masten Eastwood. Jim was versatile musician, vocalist & composer who started out when Country wasn't cool. He has written about 600 songs in his life. Through the years, Jim traveled the world and country and worked with many groups around the Michigan area as guitarist, base player & vocalist. He has played with many rock, soul, & country bands across USA. In 1997 he moved to Greenwood and met his very good friend Sandy Cilley. Some of the songs he has written include: "I'm Tired of Being Just a Friend", "Come Easy", "Send Me Some Love" and "Love to Love" recorded by Bobby G. Rice. Jim loved animals, never met a stranger and always enjoyed helping others.
