Jimmy
Haynes
Jun 25, 1947 — Jul 14, 2026
Jimmy Haynes, 79, of Ninety Six, passed away on July 14, 2026, in Greenville, SC.
Born in Hendersonville, NC, he was the son of the late James Edmond and Frances Wilbanks Haynes.
Jimmy was a self-taught auto mechanic with a love for ford antique cars. He was a former member of Rock-N-Roll Cruisers. Whether he was repairing a friend's car or tinkering with an old jukebox, he approached every task with the same enthusiasm and dedication. He worked for Rainbow Sign Company for many years before going into business for himself, opening Haynes Auto Service. His love for old cars was only matched by his immense love for his family. As a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather, he made countless cherished memories with his family, often filling their days with laughter and joy. He was a former member of Marshall Road Church of God and attended Bibleway Fellowship in Ninety Six. His playful spirit and infectious sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Paula Livingston Haynes; son, Johnny Haynes (Tambi); daughter, Suzie Morrow (Andy); grandchildren, Brandy Speake (Adam), Katie Thornton (Tyler), Kayla Key (Tyler), Jessica Williams (Dusty), Alison Barnes (Corey); great grandchildren, Camden, Collins, Catie, Adeline, Jack, Bennett, Charlie, Abbott, Parker, Dalton, Ashtyn, Kyndall, and Ansley; and his faithful companions, Squirt, Zena, Lucky and his cat.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Harley Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Earl Kelley and Reverend Chuck Sprouse.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
