Jimmy Daniel Knight, 81, of 108 Hampton Road, widower of Sally Knight, died December 15, 2018 at Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born in Oconee County, SC, he was the son of the late Claude and Emma Knight of Greenwood. He worked at Greenwood Mills for 42 years. After retirement, he and Sally owned and operated a candy vending route in Columbia, SC for 17 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Trammell (Rick) and Patricia McWhite (Richard); a step-daughter, Libby Smith; brothers, Uvil, Ray, Morris, and Bobby; a brother-in-law, Paul Culbreath; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Sarah Carver, Christine McCurry, Doris Cox, and Gladys Beardsley; and two brothers, Ralph and Larry Knight.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jeff Lethco officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Knight, Brian Knight, Butch Power, Larry Massey, Thomas Mitchell, and Morris Dorn.
The family will receive friends following the service.
