Jo Ann Horn Owens, 84, of Troy, widow of Boyce "Buck" Owens, died Monday, August 19, 2024 at her home.

Born in Nashville, TN, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Irene Louise Downing Horn. Jo Ann was retired from Lander University but enjoyed working for lawyers and judges in her earlier years. She would read every law book she could get her hands on. She enjoyed all of Elvis' music and always loved to dance.

Jo Ann attended Augusta Highway Baptist Church for many years and had attended Lighthouse Baptist Church for the past few years.

Jo Ann is survived by her children, Joseph A. Owens, Jeanna Kneece (Kenneth) and Brian K. Owens, all of Troy; her sisters, Wanda Reed (Donald) of Nashville, TN and Margaret Elaine Hill of Dickson, TN; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kneece of Hodges, Megan Holmes (Langton) of Ninety Six, Montana Anderson of Greenwood, Ashley Boling (Alex) of Knoxville, TN, Zachary Owens and Bryce Lee Owens, both of Troy; great grandchildren, Cameron Choates, Korbin Claphan, Kason Baggiano, Sadie Baggiano, Finlee Holmes, Canaan Holmes, Adler Holmes, Jase Anderson and Micah Anderson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robbie Burton and C. Langton Holmes, III officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
