Obituary
Joan Del Speaks Cottle, 84, formerly of 115 Sheldon Avenue, widow of Harold C. Cottle, Sr., died Monday, May 1, 2017 at Bayberry Assisted Living.
Born in Alexander City, AL, she was a daughter of the late Otha and Pauline Hesler Speaks. She was a member of Harris Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Harold C. Cottle, Jr. (Karen) of Cedartown, GA and John Cottle (Terry) of Greenwood; and four grandchildren, Chris, Michael, Casey and Cameron Cottle.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stan Cottle; her sister, Juanita Speaks and her brother, Charles Speaks.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pine Hill Memorial Park, Talladega, AL with the Rev. Mike Broome officiating.
The family is at the home of her son, John Cottle.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to Bayberry Assisted Living, 116
Abbey Drive, Greenwood, SC 29649 or to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 326 Montague Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29649.
