Martha Joan Saxon, 80, widow of Jack Adam Saxon, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026.

Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mozelle Lowe Hunter.

Joan was a 1965 graduate of the College of Commerce in Greenwood, SC, before becoming a homemaker, providing unwavering care and comfort to her family. She loved country living in the beautiful surroundings of rural South Carolina. She had a special place in her heart for all animals and opened her home to many pets over the years. 

Joan is survived by her loving daughter, Shawn Anderson (Jack) of Waterloo.
