Joann R. Dodgen, 79, of 602 Marshall Road, wife of Joseph Dodgen, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late B. O. and Mary Sue Rippy. She retired as a secretary from Connie Maxwell Children�s Home after 29 years of service and was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Earline Shirley Sunday School Class. Surviving are two sons, Joey Dodgen of Honea Path and Ralph Lanfair and his wife, Debbie, of Rockford, IL; two sisters, Florence White of North Carolina and Jenny Stewart of Anderson and a granddaughter, Carmen Dodgen of the home.
