Alfred Joel LaJoie, 83, of 303 Coker Road, husband of Mary Mitchell LaJoie, died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Caribou, ME, he was a son of the late Cyprien and Josephine Violet LaJoie. He was retired from Greenwood Mills and was of the Catholic faith. Surviving is his wife of 62 years; two daughters, Linda Miller and her husband, Bill, of Simpsonville and Iris Stroud and her husband, George, of Greenwood; two sons, Bruce Mitchell and his wife, Linda, of Waterloo and Joey LaJoie of Summerville; six grandchildren, Dawn Hodges and her husband, Chris, Kim Tissot and her husband, Chris, Amanda Werner and her husband, Steve, Ellen Stroud, John Wells and Andrea Hyatt; six great grandchildren, Dustin Peurifoy, Michael Peurifoy, Brandi Peurifoy, Hunter Hodges, Ezra Brade and Utah Werner; two great great grandchildren.
