Joey E. "Mutt" Hough, 92 passed away on October 26th in Greenwood, SC. He was born on July 29th, 1925 in Lancaster, SC to the late Joe and Ida Jane Hough.
On April 17th, 1954 he married the former Louise Terry who remained his dearest companion for 63 years. He was employed by Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co in Lancaster, SC and was transferred to Greenwood, SC in 1967. He continued his employment with Pepsi retiring in 1986. Joey and Louise traveled extensively during their retirement years including mission trips to Nicaragua and vacation trips to the Hawaiian Islands.
He was a dedicated Christian and attended church whenever possible. Joey was a former member of Ninety-Six Church of God, South Greenwood Church of God and for the past 10 years a member of the Providence Pentecostal Holiness Church in Greenwood.
Surviving in addition to his wife Louise of the home are daughter-in-law Kelly Hough, granddaughter Austin Hough, grandson Kevin Nunnery, daughter-in-law Lorrie Hough, son Chris Hough, sister-in-law Olean Hinson, brother-in-Law Edward Terry and too many nieces & nephews to name.
In addition to his parents Joe and Ida Jane, he was predeceased in death by his sister Marjorie Hough, his son Robert who died at birth and his son Terry Hough.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Joey Hough will be conducted at 1 pm on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Edwards and Pastor Kevin Nunnery officiating. Interment will be conducted at 3 pm on Sunday at Lancaster Memorial Park, Lancaster, SC.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Hinson, Randy Hinson, Ronnie Terry, Barry Hinson, Randy Spiers and Kelly Roberts.
The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 11:30 am to 1 pm.
