John Dower Crawford, 83, of 12 Pineview Drive, Ware Shoals, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Hospice House, Greenwood. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Jimmy "Buddy " Quincey and Wadie Dower Crawford. He was retired from S.C.A.M. Textiles and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was Baptist. Surviving are three sisters, Faye McCullough (Jim) of Honea Path, Rosalie Crawford of Ware Shoals and Nancy Witt of Ninety Six and special nieces, LeTray Jenkins and her daughter, Addie, and Mary Jane Harris, all of Ware Shoals. He was preceded in death by sisters, Jettie Pitt, Mary Tharpe and Elizabeth Jenkins and brothers, James Crawford, Preston Crawford, Bennie Crawford and Marvin Crawford. Burial will be private. Family members are at their respective homes.
